The Rural Community has developed considerable expertise over the years in dealing with rural issues and although our resources are small, we more than make up for this in terms of commitment and experience.
The
RCC was one of the founder members of the Leicestershire Rural Strategy
Partnership and has taken great pride in being involved in the development
of the strategy over the years. We also support rural communities in Rutland
and we have been an active partner in the recent joint SRB 6 Bid that
was successful in gaining funds for the Leicestershire Rural Strategy
and Welland Partnerships.
Our guiding principle in carrying out our work is to reflect the needs of rural communities i.e. ascertaining from them through consultation their requirements and aspirations and championing them as best we can.
